Frequently Asked Questions:

Q1:  Who can apply for the SCHOLARSHIPS?

A:  Only seniors at Lapeer High School or Lapeer Community High School.

Q2:  How do I apply for the scholarships?

A:  The LHS counseling office has the applications.  Some are individual applications, others are on the Common Application.

Q3:  Who can apply for the Lapeer Community Scholarship & Student Loan Fund LOANS?

A: Current Graduates of Lapeer High School and Lapeer Community High School, as well as alumni from the same who are currently in college.

Q4:   Where would I get a loan application?

A:  Loan applications may be printed from this website.

A: Loan apps may also be saved as excel documents from this website.

A: Email us and request that we mail a form to your home.

A: Your high school counseling office has LCSSLF loan applications.

Q5:  How would I submit the application?

A:   Fill out the printed application and submit as hard copy to our postal address (below), or drop off at same address.

A:  Submit the excel document to our email address:  lapeerloanfund@gmail.com

Q6:  When is the loan application due?

A:  Since limited funds are available, current borrowers must apply by May 15.  Current grads must apply by June 15.  Applications will be reviewed carefully and students will be notified by late June.

Q7:  How can I donate and help more students with scholarships and loans?

A:  Donations can be made with personal check mailed to the above address and we now have PayPal.
